Installation
Compassione
by Alexander Mostafa Fazari
A material typically associated with emergencies becomes a work of art: a thermal blanket, a thin golden veil—fragile and salvific at the same time—on which the egiptian artist Alexander Mostafa Fazari engraves a need: that of rediscovering compassion. The artist's hand traces the words of Gibran, Rumi and Ibn Arabi with calligraphic strokes, transforming the golden reflection into a universal message of humanity.

23.11.2025 - 15.02.2026
mater Art Film Festival
audiovisual exhibition
The 6 finalist shorts of the mAFF, selected by the jury, will be transposed from the space of the screening room to that of the exhibition. The short films become
artworks: visual and temporal objects offered to the gaze no longer through the linearity imposed by projection, but as installative presences.
During the exhibition months, the public jury will be able to vote for their favourite short film. The winner will receive the mater 2025 award.

OPERA VIVA GAZA
A project that continues the practice of artist Alessandro Bulgini, who, with his red “uniform”, becomes a signal, an indicator: a possible connection, a tenuous yet essential link. The author thus becomes – as Giulio Paolini once wrote – the bearer of the work: and the work itself is the context, or rather, the relationship with the context.
